Tolkien Treasures Rescued from Demolition came to Wimborne.
15th - 29th November 2008
Hazael Design were pleased to announce an exhibition of limited edition
furniture handmade from the timber reclaimed from JRR Tolkien's home,
Woodridings.
We are currently taking orders for limited edition items hand made from the timber
reclaimed from Woodridings, the demolished former home of the late JRR Tolkien.
The orders range from small picture frames, boxes, mirrors, to larger unusual
unique and individually designed pieces.
We were also privileged to host an exhibition of some of the treasures salvaged
from Woodridings, by demolisher Stephen Malton.

Sky News Article
The Exhibition was opened by The Mayor of Wimborne, Robin Cook on Sat 15th
November 2008 at 11 am. Where: Just off the Square in Wimborne, down Mill Lane,
left at end of lane under the arches to Hazael Design,12 Mill Lane, beside the river.
We have had a good working relationship with Stephen from Prodem Demolition
for a number of years as he makes an effort to ensure that the timber from his
demolition sites is reclaimed and not destroyed. We then revive this valuable
timber transforming it into unusual pieces of furniture. The old hardworking floor
boards, joists, rafters and trusses are put into retirement as functional yet
ascetically pleasing individual pieces. We would like to thank Stephen for making
this exhibition possible by supplying Tolkien's Timber to Hazael Design and
rescuing the Tolkin Treasures from Woodridings
